Neiler

Player Valuation: £100m
As the transfer deadline is only extended in England to 5pm tomorow, does that mean that it slams shut in all other European countires Meaning

A)We have to sign foreign players by tonight at 12 (Mouthino and Banega)

or

B) we can we still sign players from other European leagues up untill 5pm tomorow?

* Sticks coffee on!

Yes, midnight kills all deals not brokered and signed by midnight. I said this on the Heitinga thread as Talkshite underlined it before.

Holland has also extended the deadline untill 6pm tomorrow. Think it just means the rest of Europe can't sign players anymore, but clubs in England and Holland will. Think we'll be able to sign Banega and Heitinga until 5pm tomorrow.

This would only be possible if Spain had such an extention too surely?

Edit: Ah I see the point you're making, English and Dutch clubs can sign players from the rest of Europe up until tomorrow's set deadlines.

This was reported in Marca today:

David Moyes, trainer of the English Everton, has recognized after the party against the Wigan that exists a principle in agreement with the Athletic one of Madrid to clock on and off to the Dutch defense Johnny Heitinga.

According to the versions arisen in the United Kingdom, the Everton has offered 5 million pounds (about 5.7 million Euros) by the Dutch international zaguero, but Moyes, in spite of that agreement, emphasized that still it is a duro ahead work before the crossing becomes reality.

The Everton has still not reached an agreement with the player

The operation would have to close Monday, because it is the last day of term established for the closing of the international market.

The technician, also, indicated that not yet there is an agreement closed with the player, but was trusting in which they are able to obtain it.

The Everton today obtained before the Wigan (2-1) his first victory of the season in a party in which their two last reinforcements made debut, the French Sylvain Distin and the Russian Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.

Heitinga could today dispute in the Rosaleda of Malaga its last party with the Athletic one of Madrid, that Andalusian by clearly lost in front of the picture 3-0.

Not sure how true it is Dutch may be right (as always) surely Sky would have made a massive deal out of two deadlines.

Just been out the KFC an heard this on TalkSport. So we have to sign players from abroad tonight.? And English clubs till tomorrow.

Just think if we had put in a little more money up front at the start of the season we wouldnt be paying over the odds now.

No that is not the case, you can sell a player to a club at any stage, and the deal with go through immediately as long as the buying club is still in their transfer window. If both transfer windows from two leagues are shut then the deal goes ahead at the next available date, which is the date that the buying clubs transfer window opens. Lokomotiv Moscow have played 19 games of their season already so I would presume that their deadline has gone and they sold Billy to us. That is my understanding of how it works. I hope that makes sense. (y)

I think you got it right. In Sweden, the window for swedish clubs closed on the last of july but they can still sell players (but not buy replacements, a big problem for swedish clubs).
