I think it's ridiculous to have a friendly 4 days before the start of the season when teams are trying to prepare. I do like international football when the England squad is picked by merit not reputation and when there's a plucky minnow beating good teams.

The friendlies do seem come at pretty stupid times, but to have no more World cups or European Championships? Nope, international football has to stay.

Tournaments are ok but i'd scrap the friendlies, boring waste of time.
