Injuries ffs !

Why do you resort to insults ? All I said was in my view he is past his best, no question about that, would much rather see Oviedo running that wing.

I'm worried we're putting too much on Oviedo's shoulders. The guy looked promising when he last played but he's not the saviour of the team. We also have no idea how he's going to be after his injury.

As @bluebud says above, physioroom.com has them all back bar Stones for QPR. It is usually pretty accurate with return dates..... they sometimes list 'no return date' but that's usually for fresh injuries.
Yet on our own site it says in all three cases "return unknown" so where does physio room get their information from ?

No idea, but they are very accurate with return dates for all players for all teams.

I only go on the official site for U21/U18 highlights (when shown) as the rest is rubbish.

Kone alcaraz and oviedo all good to go,

Naismith and mccarthy are 50/50 for qpr if not there ok for the game after,

Gibbo havent a clue,

Stones end of the month

martinez has to be the lousiest communicator in the PL when it comes to injuries ! How far away is Naismith,
Stones, gibson, Mcarthy, Oviedo ? Days, years, months ? Really pissed off with this !

Couldn't give a [Poor language removed] about Kone, only the ones I've listed, Kone hasn't even figured in my thinking for over 6 months now
( when he cancelled his summer Holliday to get fit ! Bless !)

No he doesn't have to, and if people like you prefer to get the mushroom treatment then obviously you are not in the least interested.

Data comes from a guy called Ben Dinnery who has a twitter feed under that name as well, worth following as he puts quite a lot of flesh on the data. A lot of injuries have common recovery rates eg for a hamstring grade 1 it is rare to see a player back within a week, more often 14 days so if he knows the condition he can predict a rough timescale.

Martinez gives updates in his pressers that don't get updated on the OS plus he gets info from things like Oviedo playing 90mins for the U21s a week ago which mean it is match fitness he is lacking rather than out injured. There are also interviews on the OS like the one with Stones where he mentions doing gym work and targeting New Year to be healthy. He also uses data from other countries press eg the argentina press are reporting on Aguero's injury before Man Utd are.

But I thought that Martinez doesn't tell us anything?

Tbf he doesn't on some players eg Pienaar or Gibson but think that is more the nature of their injuries make it hard to predict and doubt he wants to put added pressure on them.

Some he flat out lies, there was no way Oviedo was going to make the World Cup but not sure I could have broken his little heart either by giving him the bad news before really had to.
