Injuries and our season

With the signing of Fer imminent and the small squad, does anyone think too many injuries could cost us Europe and the FA Cup? e.g Mirallas, Coleman and Gibson, key players getting injured all of the time.

On the plus side Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool all have european matches starting soon so the tiredness at weekends after those games may hinder them.

If we had Gibson and Mirallas fit, I firmly believe we would be at least 2nd at the moment.

That was always going to be the test - we have the quality, but if injuries hit it was always going to be our Achilles heel.

Even some injury prone players do manage to get long run outs at some point though; I'm sure Saha actually went quite a while without being injured for us towards the end of his career with us.
