er I don't think so. Personally I've always thought of Mrs E as having a bit of Nigella about her

I know a fair few who are pal. I think it becomes easier with age.

Maybe so. I don't believe the social standard of pairing off into eternally faithful units and making children is necessarily the key to happiness for everyone, though. Relationships have always suited me but I know plenty of people who are better off single and don't know it.

No honestly its so mate. I'm childless so I hope you're right on the relationship thing. Like the career thing it takes both hard work and tolerance, both values are in short supply in this part of the world sadly so I can see why many don't work out.

I am happy mate. Will probably die early from putting too much in and burning out but that's another story.

How old are you though? I was like that. Infact I counted at one point going out on the lash for 60 consecutive nights age about 22-23.. Worked 10-12 hour days and got drunk every night. Gets to a point were enough is enough. Got kids now and drink maybe one beer a week. Happier spending time with kids than boozing now and pulling birds. The thought of that effort of going out to pull now is a nightmare. more content with the missus to be honest! haha

I'm plenty old mate and probably past you. I'm mid/late 30s depending who's asking and how I look in the mirror that day. I'm a world away from going out chasing tail every single night.

I have two beautiful daughters and they're my world. In the same context I want to inspire them to follow their dreams and never give up. Better to die trying as the saying goes.

Part of me thinks we need to re-evaluate what "working out" means. The shelf-life of relationships is getting smaller and smaller because the scope is there now for anyone to pursue anything they want at any given time in their lives. There's a priority placed on individual fulfillment these days which doesn't always go hand-in-hand with a "regular" family setup, and I personally think this contributes to a quicker erosion of loving bonds. But a 20 year relationship has to be considered a success. I always wonder if staying in a loving relationship with someone for most of your entire life was always an unrealistic expectation.
