Inspired by the great man Mr Ocean playing on the car radio this morning I got to thinking a serious post on here for once was due....
Well not really serious obviously. That'd be daft amongst a community of axe murderers and stalkers and located on page 22 of a thread like this.
It's all about dreams isn't it? If you're with "the one" you're not going to cheat full stop. That's only if you really believe they're the one.
If you're settling and merely with someone for convenience and comfort then what the hell. The likes of
@ijjysmith ,
@Durham Toffee and the frightening gay hairy combo of
@bluemangroup /
@Bungle think they've got it sorted with their respective partners.
I don't know whether this is the hunter gatherer DNA or my psyche as a lapsed catholic but I feel acutely that we've got realistically 80 or so years on this planet and, to me, the second you stop wanting the very best you may as well give up completely. So if it's not your soul mate and offering fireworks on a daily basis then it's best surely to bin that relationship and move on to the next? It's scary of course but personally I'd rather be alone and waking up thinking that the next one could be truly special. Obviously there are needs for companionship etc along the way but that's different if you're honest from the outset.
It's like work/business for me as well. I can't understand not having the ambition to be the very best in your chosen field - whether that means career progression or simply earning shedloads of cash. Of course it's not always possible to be in your ideal job/role but today's alive with the possibilities of running a second career/hobby in your spare time to keep that dream alive.
Special mention to
@chicoazul for sheer ability to drive internet traffic and
@RAFUH for posting pics.
