After any bad run, it's inevitable there will be a splurge of critical posts. And why not? After all, you pays your money, you makes your noise.
The things that get me are the absence of sad puppy photos and the often repeated belief that this group of players are capable of beating x, y & z.
Let me put the first to rights.
Now to deal with the second.
Do any of you believe that this squad is capable of winning the C L? Or the Premiership? Do you think that they're better, as a squad, than half a dozen others in the Premiership?
Despite their less than impressive performances recently, I think Coleman, Baines and Miralles are gems. After that, going through the senior squad name by name, I must be missing what a lot of you are seeing. I see people who were once good / very good; people who might be might be very good sometime in the future; and people who were cheap and were bought to fill a glaring gap.
Martinez (to state the bleeding obvious) isn't Merlin. He - and any other manager - can do so much but they can't turn clay into gold.
(And having said that, they'll now beat the Geordies 4 - 0.)
