I dread to think what injuries to Pienaar, Fellaini and Baines would do to us.

I'm staying positive - every reason to - but am praying our key boys stay out of the treatment room.

Don't worry mate, what would happen is the same as would happen with injuries to any other teams 3 best players.. Force the manager into picking different ones, ours would probably be:
Distin for Baines with Heittinga in to cover
Mirallas for Pienaar
Naismith for Fellaini,

Liverpool without Suarez, Gerrard and Skirtl however....

Any team in the league (bar City) would be decimated by losing 3 key players but I think we would still be okay with the injuries mentioned. I'd obviously prefer they didn't get injured, but I still reckon we could get a significant amount of 3 points with those in their place.

Jelevic is the one we cant afford to get injured.

Its a two-sided coin for me. Lets wait till we play some more games to talk about how ace we are, lets wait till we actually fail to win a game till we talk about how ****e we are.

Even then Marallas is (hopefully) better than last years options, Naismith is a striker as well

I'm not saying we don't have options.....just that those options aren't as good in those positions (although Mirallas and Naismith are new and I've seen very little of them so that's probably a bit harsh). Simple fact is we just don't have the depth and quality of squad that some other teams have, so let's hope for luck with injuries, suspensions and form.

The buzz around the club right now is fantastic and I hope it goes on to May next year. After 3 competitive games it is almost certainly a bad case of getting carried away, but as many have said, let's be positive and enjoy it all for however long it lasts. Better than thread after thread of koff Moyes and Kenwrong out and 8 points behind the league leaders after 2 weeks.

Agreed with that last part mate, although I actually think whilst our squad is lacking in numbers, we no longer have any McFaddens, Billys, AVDMs and the likes that are not good enough. Every position has a quality replacement, your first team will always be strong with a team that finishes as high as we do, but our replacements now are not much of a drop at all.
Take 3 top players out of any squad except Cities and your going to be left with a poor team, we on the other hand will still be left fielding a very good team. Its superb.. Try it, take out 3 players from random positions and look at their replacements. Its great to see it I have to say as previously the replacements were pretty dire.

We made 6 last night then a further 3 at half time and finished with 10 men + two home debuts, it may well have been Leyton Orient but still.
