Oh we are way, way, way past waiting for Arteta and Jags to save us, WAY past.

Not to be an arse about it all, but I was ripped on here over the past month for trying to look past the injuries as the major problem.

It's been the same all season, basic errors - nothing more, nothing less. If you can't do the basics as a team, then Arteta or Jags are going to do nothing to eradicate that.

Would Jags stop Yobo from ****ting it 90 yards each time he gets the ball? Would Arteta somehow teach the rest how to pass and cross 5 yards to a fellow player?

It's a mess, a god awful mess.

Mikel Arteta has a massive effect on the team, I don't care what anyone says. He shows for the ball, keeps hold of it and our players trust him in possession and follow suite.

Phil Neville went from a yard dog to a neat and tidy centre midfielder, Arteta played a big part in that.

Once we get them two playing together, we'll be fine, we have a good side. But we do rely heavily on individual players, without them it's going to be a struggle. And as we know, neither are close to returning.

When Moyes moved him to the center of the park, it all changed for us. And I mean it ALL changed. We got a heck of a lot better.

Attackwise, we made up for Arteta's loss last year by hitting teams with waves of players on corners last year. Cahill, Lescott, Yobo, Fellani, Saha, you couldn't cover them all. We were the best in the prem at banging in corners last year. Its just not happening this year. I think losing Lescott was bigger from an attack point of view than a defensive one.

Defensively, losing Jags stings. Distin and Yobo are too similar physical defenders and neither on is adept at a game saving slide tackle like Jags. Last year if you got around Lescott Jags almost always cleared it out with a slide tackle.

Maybe mate, but he's been missing for a year hasn't he? I said at the time that Moyes needed to replace him, even if it was a loan player - he hasn't done it, even though we have 3 loan spots available.

It's a decision and an arrogance that has bit him in the arse.
