...no, this thread isn't about the famous song by John Lennon, but rather what our lineup would look like if everyone is healthy and available for selection:

.........................Howard...................

Heitinga.......Jagielka......Distin.......Baines

..........................Neville....................

Bilyaletdinov.........Arteta.............Pienaar

..................Yakubu.............Saha.........

1) Nash
2) Fellaini
3) Yobo
4) Rodwell
5) Cahill

Remainder of:

1) Osman
2) Hibbert
3) Neill
4) Anichebe
5) Gosling
6) Jo
7) Vaughan

Mix and match all you want (451, 442, etc...) but basically, we'd have one heck of a team out there and Moyes would have quite a few options to work with. In other words, if you aren't performing, you aren't going to get selected.

Moyes says he's like to bring a few faces in the January transfer window. I'd be curious as to where they'd fit in. Answers on a post card.

They will fit into the slot left empty due to ANC.
Arteta, jag, phil wont be up and running in Jan. Probably take Feb for them to be fully match fit.

Out of that team bill has put together there are 3 out injured now and a lot of teams have 3 1st choices out at any one time so that makes me wonder what the hell has happened to the other players.

Must spread rep.

With all the doom & gloom going on it's easy to forget what we've got and what we are capable of. I know we'll still have to wait a while to get our best players back and form at the moment is not good, but we will get over this current bad form. We have the players, we have a great manager. It wouldn't be Everton if we had it easy now would it.

Come on you blues.

By the way, bring on Destination Wirral !

Im going to use this time to declare that we are now at a low point in Moyes tenure.

No new Stadium, awful performances, injuries, no heart, all of which have trickled on from amateur transfer dealings and supporters unable to put a hot poker up our own players and get moving to a better ground.

Six defeats already due to bad tactical decisions, and people looking forward to Moyes making moves in the January transfer window?

The only move we are making is to the Championship.

Rant over.

I have made a lot of excuses recently but this is looking pretty poor- we can do all the team line ups we like but at the end of the day until these players are back we have to make do.

The saving grace for me is that when these players are back we are more than capable of putting a run of 5+ wins on the bounce together- that would see us move into a much more comfortable position.

The captaincy thread has got me thinking- we do need a leader on the pitch that will grab the game by the scruff of the neck and get everyone going. The best player I think for that could be Neill?!

Good shout about neill i would put heitinga in the mix to

We need someone who can instill a bit of pride and passion....Sadly the current team is playing without both. We are now depending on the injured players to hit the ground running when they are back, but in reality the season will near as damn it over by then.
Yak is a shadow of his former self. Rodwell looks burned out. Hetinga would be my choice but I doubt whether he will ge the nod.
It is going to be a long season , which I for one was looking forward to. But now the gloom has descended.

I think we can all speculate as to how the team will perform with all the players back, but that day may never come. We could get Arteta back but then lose Heitinga.

The team last night was good enough to beat Hull and it failed. There are issues, and something needs to be addressed.

What is worrying me is that Moyes said last night that words have been said, and they have been said before.

So clearly they are not working, the man is losing his magic, it seems.

Personally I believe the whole Lescott affair has rubbed too many players up the wrong way.

I do as well. The way Moyes handled it did not look good at least from the outside. After Hull I would not wish to pick a team right now out of that lot of no triers.

Well he clearly can't play 442, which is a bit of a worry. A manager touted for United can only play 1 tactic.

If we hinge everything on waiting for Arteta and Jagielka then we'll be in deeper [Poor language removed].

We've got plenty of internationals there who should be doing the fundamentals right and standing up when we need them.
