If Frank got the bullet and you were immediately installed as the new manager , what would you do ? Limited , clearly very limited funds so who do you try and bring in ? How do you try , your best to put a sticking plaster over the rift until seasons end both on and off the field and how do you line up at the weekend ?

Take the lads out for a chinese and / or karaoke night for team bonding. Tell them to enjoy themselves because tomorrow the hard work starts.

Then there's some sort of montage, everyone training, putting the graft in, sweating - few little funny mishaps thrown in for good measure, say like Tom Davies being lifted off his feet on a lat pulldown machine and all the lads trying to pull him back down.
All set to a soft rock 80s guitar anthem.

End of the montage and we are solid, carved out of stone and ready to go to war.

I would sell Holgate, Keane, Gordon, Doucouré and Davies to generate any additional budget. Bring in as many as good attacking players as possible on loan with obligation or option to buy. A 6 ft 3 target man with strength who can hold up the ball and score. A proper right winger who can cross and take on opposition. An attacking midfielder who can dictate play and create chances. A left-back who can attack and cross the ball. Ffs we need half a new team. We are doomed, amen.

I will keep 5 at the back. First thing first is not to get beaten away from home.
