If you got Roberto Martinez job.

Is there any chance McCarthy plays? Usually guys don't come back three days after tweaking a groin. What's concerning there is that Barry likely needs to sit as well bc we saw what playing all those games at his age did last year. If we start Gibbo and besic in the middle that's a scary proposition. Or do we move Barkley back and bring kev in to play up top, quasi 10?

Most of us would probably pick a good team on paper but when it comes to tactics then we will all be found struggling. Hard job being a manager especially with budget transfers

I wouldn't worry about players as much as I would fitness. Too many injuries. Always a groin here, hamstring there. I'd get a buff fitness lady...perhaps Ronda Rousey....then, the boys could oogle and if they didn't work, she'd give them a toss! Then I'd address goalie and midfield. I'm happy with backline and front line talent. No one is chasing Barry or Mac, that's for sure.

Robles, Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Baines, Delboy, McCarthy, Barry, Mirallas, Barkley, Lukaku.

All I would like from Martinez is more balance and more rotation. I mean try 4-4-2 when losing or at home to a lower team.
His ideas of bringing in the young players like stones and ross were and still are well received, there is no time like the present as they say, he has to do well now to show the kids Everton is a very exciting project, telling them to wait 3-4 years whilst he turns things around isn't too convincing.

If we are saying fully fit squad to choose from then Pienaar would be a welcome addition to the team again.

I'd spend some time just walking and looking at Finch Farm, see what's what. I'd be talking to all players on a no names no pack drill basis and the staff as well.
Then I'd start on practicing attacking and defending set pieces, I would still keep the football ethos that Roberto set up going, but with an emphasis on forward and quicker with the pass and move. Oh I would be on the look out for nasty barstewards that could play.
Coach Degsy is not a nice guy.
after winning both the micky mouse cup and the real one we would finish 3rd
In the close season I would be up at Ainsdale to find the biggest sand hill I could ready for preseason training.
The next season we would go out in the quarters of the CL and finish 4th
next year semis and finish 2nd
year after 2nd and out in the quarters
the year after the double Prem CL

Then after that I'd really get going
