All I want is for Goodison to be remodeled. I think they should cover one side of the ground for however long they need, fix that and then do it to the next stand.

Some fantastic stadia here, shame about KD.
What I don't get is the corporate element bringing in millions for the club-would it really, even supposing there's no recession? Anyone know?
Ideally, I'd like a frugal and claustrophobic +70k ground with cheap seating for the youngsters of the North West.

I think with a whole new fresh stadium, we would fill it, even if we're doing average in the league as normal. I think the initial excitement and non obscured views would be enough to fill it for the first few weeks at least. It just brings about a new era kind of feel, similar to what you have when you get a new Manager. I think would be something the players and fans would both get excited about.

Would really like to see a design like Kirkby, so the crowd is still close to the pitch and it keeps the noise in PLEASE none of this Man City bull****.

1st person I've heard not liking Wastelands. I think it's a fantastic stadium.

A new stadia isn't going to help much, the problem is that the richer clubs would just spend more. In baseball in the US which for the most part has no salary cap, new stadiums for small and medium market teams haven't really closed the gap between them and the big spenders.

Also, in the US the local cities play a much more active role in financing and developing stadia, seeing it as a net positive for the community.

We should build a 40,000 capacity square stadium modelled on Cologne with the possiblity to expand to 55,000.

ON TOP OF THE ABANDONED WHITE FACTORY FFS. Such a perfect place.

But major league soccer has a salary cap and you can't really say that a single club dominates in that league. With clubs not always able to rebuild a few miles down the road like Arsenal, or expand existing footprint like Manure, a new stadia will help us enormously. Adding to an existing stadia or a new stadia is very expensive.

In baseball, the reason that new stadiums don't help close the gap is because the gap exists largely due to the massive differences in local tv and radio revenues. Nearly all of the 162 game regular season is only on local tv and radio. The teams sell this themselves. The difference between the Yankees and Kansas City in this regard is mind-boggling. The Yankees have their own network ffs.

Any remaining differential is due to ticket prices. They are much higher in the larger cities, which means a lot over 81 home dates.

I don't think the Premiership is affected by these two issues. As such, a new stadium will have a much greater affect in England.

It's all about the corporate side mainly with a new stadium, also to be taken in to account is the travel and ease of getting to the ground... Parking close by with easy travel to ground ect for people who are not local. The match day experience is a big thing these days.
As already said they need to make money out of it other than just football matches.

We need a new stadium ASAP to make money.
