If We Got A 5m Bid For Faddy in Jan

Tough call, but it depends on what competitions we were left in, if we just had the league then, yes I probably would sell him but only to a scottish team and call up a youngster for the rest of the campaign.

Sorry James.

If we are short on cash and that 5m would go towards a central midfielder with a decent pedigree I would sell him in a flash.

My list of preference with forwards go:

Vaughan
AJ
Yakubu
Anichebe
McFadden

Yeah as good as the goals are that he scores, I just dont think he has the complete game of a premiership centre forward. He's not particularly fast or strong or a great reader of the game, what he does have is bags of skill and great finishing. Unfortunately I think he could be a star in another league, just not the premiership.

Id be tempted...I mean really what has he done other than being on the fringe? We need fads to step in ala Cahill and pick himself every week. Osman has more oomf.

You could buy two McFads with that money and even if they did half as much it'd be twice as much as what he's shown.

I think people (myself included) look at Mcfadden at what he has been like in the past. He is in the form of his life and we still dont give him credit. I just think that we know sooner or later he will do sweet FA and barely be in the squad.

5m? no way, thats a paltry sum. 10m yeah, but 5m is an insult. scotlands saviour cannot be allowed to leave on the cheap.

Get shot. I don't see why we would need to replace him, like I didn't see why we needed to replace Kilbane or Davies. They are players that don't contribute enough to the cause.

Now I know some think Faddy doesn't have a fair crack of the whip and doesn't get a run. Well apart from AJ who else has been played constantly upfront? Yak goes on the bench if the boss doesn't fancy him for that game. Same with Vic.

Personally I think Faddy has had his chance and has fluffed his lines on more than one occassion. For me he doesn't seem to be giving Moyes much of a headache and there are other players who are coming through and plus we have 19m worth of strikers there too.

He missed 2 golden chances against Larissa and for me that is not what you want. Goals for Scotland mean squat at club level and he isn't proving himself to be a key man.

I could just imagine him going to a Sunderland or a Birmingham and being their main man and doing very well. Getting around 10 goals a season and playing with number 9 on his back. Sound familiar?

I'm under the impression that we're not hurting for cash at the moment. This is the year to hit on all cylinders -- if that means the scottish hero is underutilized, so be it. Always nice to have him on the bench for those games where the forwards on the field are playing too hesitant -- moyes can point to james and say "go in and straighten this out please."

Yeah, but any striker who can only bag 10 goals a season is pretty poor in my opinion.

I was thinking of this last night.

I would hold out for about 7-8 million from Rangers or Celtic. As Ghost says there is no need to replace him with Vaughan and Anichebe coming through.

Add that money to the 12 million we supposedly still have and we can afford to pay Phil Neville 100k a week and sign him up on a ten year contract. He's boss.
