If we don't get into the top 4 what are your predictions for Everton football club

I agree mate, but you have to admit that we would be a long way off fourth if we had not been given so many decisions in our favor, we have been lucky with that and we are still in with a chance but I just feel we would so much better off with someone like Laudrup.

Mirallas is amazing, the next Ronaldo i reckon, but it is evident that he is using us a as a stepping stone to greater things. And Gibson is terrible mate.

Ha ha. Bless.

If we don't make top 4 Fellaini will go.
After that it depends on a couple of things...

Firstly I think if we don't make it then its quite essential we at least get Europe. If we do and moyes is given all of fellaini's money then i think we'll keep moyes and baines and everyone else we wanna keep!

Nothing will change with Kenwright at the helm, Moyes, Fellaini, Baines, A.N. Other(s) may or may not go.

We will go on being Leeds in slow motion, which may or may not accelerate with a new face in charge

Bill will still be searching 24/7 for investment mind, not a total buy out and watching this space.

Almost all of us will still park in the same place go to the same pubs before and after.

So all in all not much

I don't know to be sad or glad

Is it even possible to neg rep any more? EradicationofHoofball seems the biggest windup merchant of the year.

I wouldn't be to concerned about STH not re-newing if they are of the negative and misery-monging type. This year was a huge leap forwards in terms of playing attractive football but I can't say that in the 15-20 years that I've been actively following Everton they've been as bad as say Bolton or Stoke, for that matter.
I'd just like to see us able to operate somewhere close to a depth-free economy where we'd know that excess money in goes toward developing the playing squad and facilities. But it's not really rocket-science is it, if you take out loans (personal or from banks) you have to pay them back. Most likely with an interest.

I'd much rather see us as a sell-to-buy club than as some sort of mega-toy like Chelsea/Citteh.
I'd liken it to how most of us play FM, either you go for managing a PSG/Citteh/Real and buy all the world's best in a short time and win titles year after year.
Or you try to build a club up from youth squad up to 1st team, slowly developing the economy to be self-sustainable.

If we'd have had the chance to attract players like Eden Hazard or Edin Dzeko when Moyes scouted them and they hit it big here, I'm sure with a depth free economy the funds when they eventually went to Citteh and Chelsea could be spent on youth facilities or development of Goodison and still have some to go towards new players.

Can someone explain the difference between not winning and bottling a game.. seems any time we don't get 3 points irregardless of how much we were in the acendency we are a team of bottlers.

Yeah, bottling is when you play at a lower standard than your average in big games. Colombia at the world cup, or the all blacks at the rugby world cup are big examples of talented teams just not turning up when the pressure was on.

Swansea at home isn't a big game. And we played about as well as we normally do.

If we dont get top4 moyes will walk, he spent months thinking about it 5 years ago before finally signing, I cant see the same again.
This summer city arsenal united chelsea, at least 2 of them will have new managers next season, cant see moyes in the running for any of them. If he signs on for 5 more years he still wont be in the running for any of them
I think he sees himself managing a bigger club in the future the only way he can do this is to win things if he cant do it here he will go foreign.

He needs to improve in europe especially away, and needs to show what he can do when he has money to spend.

and on fellaini even if we get europa I cant see him leaving. Im not saying he doesent want to leave, just cant see any teams coming in and paying his buy out clause, if they were interested it would of happened by now. january or the summer makes no difference his buy out will still be the same, if anyone wanted him they would of snapped him up by now.

Bottling is retreating into your shell when faced with a REAL challenge. Say, a semi-final (all 3 of the ones we've been in), or a Final. Or a derby.

Going on the defensive rather than setting yourself out to nail the opposition, take the game to them and scare the be-Jesus out of them more than they do to us.

I.e. Rise to the occasion when it really matters.

I don't think we've done that under Moyes too often when it's really mattered. He's bottled it most of the time, and it's cost us most of the time.

4th is definitely a 3 way shoot out between the Mighty Spurs, EFC & Woolwich.
I think the thing possibly going in our favour is that we are in with a shout despite underperforming & we have a strength in depth which is massively important come the end of the season. Im sure you have all seen that stat that if matches were only 80 mins long Spurs would be top of the table. Once we eradicate the loss of concentration in the last 10 mins we will, hopefully, consolidate our position (Kaboul's return before the season is over should help on that score). If we could actually sign a top drawer striker i think we may even be favourites for 4th.
That said, the chances of us buying a £20-25mn striker are zero & therefore i think the battle for the last CL spot will go down to the wire.

You're the best team out of three of us, I would say. But Arsenal have that winning experience that means they tend to do enough to carry themselves over the line.

We're third favourites really, but you never know. On our day our first eleven are as good as anyone's.

Pretty frank and honest assessment there, well in. Although that reference to an "8-minute match league table" comes across a bit Kopitish!!

But I tend to agree with your view on Spurs' chances, and reckon they're in pole position for 4th.

no offence, but this means jack ****. rugby is 80 mins, a league football match has always been a 90 minute game. Didn't AVB say he wasn't going to bring in another striker? surprised me, especially with adebayor going, it's definitely an area you need strengthening. Think you also need a good right winger who can score to realistically challenge for higher than 4th. Lennon's not a top drawer winger and if he/bale got injured your only backup is andros townsend

Moyes would be a great addition of our wage bill, give Big Dunc the job, people will be scared not to perform under him like they are at Atletico Madrid under Simeone.

And a plus with Dunc as manager he'd probably have a job for our main man upfront besides running about like a headless chicken.

I think we're the 6th best team in the league. But it could go either way and we could finish 5th or even as low as 8th. I dont think 4th is a possibility. If we'd have won the games we should have and deserved to (Norwich, Newcastle, Swansea at home -would have been another 6 points) and got a deserved point against Chelsea then we'd be right up there, but conceding last minute equalisers to **** teams coupled with not finishing our chances shows we're not ready to compete with the top 4 yet. IMO.

We could finish above Arsenal but I dont think we're a better team than them. I think 5th is the best we can hope for. At that wouldnt be a bad season by any stretch of the imagination. What we do with our budget Im convinced no other club could do. We iz special ffs, and of course you all know this.
