If N'Zogbia was the only Premier league level player we signed this Summer....

For the first time in a long time though, we have expensive deadwood as it were, in that they would fetch decent enough fees in order for us to address our weak areas. This summer will be all about getting lucky finding the right bidders.

I see what you're saying mate. I wouldn't be too bothered to see the likes of Yak and Bily leave. I just worry that we seem to have a really small squad compared to others. In the past we've had dips when crucial players were injured and we had nobody to fill the gaps. I suppose it's just the financial situation that we're in and we'll have to live with it.

As always we've been linked to numerous players already, and it's only June. However, if we were to sign a player like N'Zogbia and then increase our squad size with younger players and unproven talents, how would you feel ?

Unless we sell at least one of our big players i can't see us splashing the cash on any other big transfers, what with N'Zogbia looking like a £9m move. That worries me, as i've always felt that as well as lacking some pace and skill on the wing, we also need to invest in a proven striker who doesn't have legs made of glass (sorry Louis).
If we get to keep our best players too, well, yes. Pretty much.

No. We need a good striker as well.

Demba Ba and N'Zogbia? I'd take that in a heartbeat. I actually think those two, whilst not particularly incredible players, would be the last pieces in the jigsaw.

In reality though we probably won't sign either!

PL yeah defo.

Long, BA - play in the Championship - what do people think is going to happen.

Id cream myself if what got those three - which i dont btw.

For me in an ideal world it would go Vaughan, Yobo, Yak & Bily leaving for pastures new, financing Demba Ba & N'Zogbia. Cuts the wage bill, and frees up space for youngsters to get more of a chance.

I think there'd be less tha 2.34% chance of this happening...

Donovan is millions cheaper and in my opinion better. Hell we might be able to get a few shirt sales out of it as well. If we are going to spend more than 5M on any player it better be a striker.
