Is Bates still the owner there? He despises us after Garbutt and Beckford. Will be hard to do a deal for any of their players. That Snodgrass looks decent in the half dozen high profile cup matches of their's that I've seen in the last couple of years.
 

Even though they're champo they'll still want a lot of money for their best players - talking between 5 to 10 mill.

there are better prem players out around that price. krankjar for one.
 
Snodgrass is the standout. A class apart. Gradel has no real end product to his game as of yet, with his decision making in good positions average at best.

If we could get Snodgrass for £3-4m he'd be a steal. Gradel at around £2-3m would be a decent gamble too. But I'm being optimistic with those prices.

We got lucky (ish) with Beckford. But if they don't get promoted then what makes them good enough to play for us?
 

Yes.

Would basically kill for Snodgrass or Schmeichel, they're ace. If either of them end up anywhere but Leeds or Everton I'll be absolutely gutted.

I also really rate Gradel, Howson, and Becchio.

Also don't forget Billy Paynter is a lifelong Everton supporter according to Wikipedia :)

I have to say that I kind of can't believe Beckford plays for us still. I watched him in their FA Cup run last year and was overjoyed when I heard he'd signed for us of all teams.
 
Anthony Pilkington is better than Snodgrass, and would probably be cheaper too (especially if Huddersfield dont go up).
