I find it completely bizarre that anyone thinks he's better with Gomes next to him. He's exactly the same player. He's not played any better, he's always been this good. The ideas that he can't pass or contribute offensively are also silly, but they'll be out the second we lose.

I concur, voting Gana MOTM has been like a automatic reflex the past 3 seasons, week after week he stands out, he’s an excellent team player...

Gana hasn't played any better or worse with Gomes than he did with Davies but the team as a whole functions better so his shortcomings aren't as noticeable. His level very rarely dips. The consistency in his game is seriously impressive.

He will be up against Kante today...who has been playing more advanced as a centre mid.

Will be interesting to see if he crunches him to assert his superiority

Big big game for him today. He will be pivotal to the result. I have no doubt that Chelsea will be fizzing the ball about and trying to pull him out of position. Needs to be disciplined both in his tackling and positioning. If he plays well we can get a win.

He still have the ball away quite a few times very cheeply and under no pressure. You will eventually get punished by the best teams if you keep doing it.
