I've only seen a clip of it but it's just a red card any time you put your hand in a player's face: oppo or your own.

That's the rule. There seemed to be a breakdown in communication in the box with a bit of a dodgy pass. By all means have a go at a team mate, but don't react like that.

But this is why we need to wait. He didn’t slap him because he failed to clear it. They were up close so it’s more likely something’s been said which he reacted to. It’s not a good luck, but there’s two people involved and all we have seen is one crap replay from a distance. There will be a close up angle which will get shown at some point.

He’d lost it when he was still 5 yards from Keane. Don’t mind Keane putting his point across just as aggressively if he wants to. They can both shove each other in the chest and it’s still fine. “Slapping” a team mate is a pathetic lack of self discipline.

For a player so experienced, he's put is in a right difficult position and of course now he'll serve a 3 match ban then AFCON
