Ian Wright on Everton and David Moyes

You generally state opinions based on what you think, not what you make up with fairy dust sprinkled on top

I don't see how you can argue a man who is the best paid manager to never win a trophy in the histroy of football isn't a mercenary, how a man who throws a merseyside derby understands and cares about the club and how a man who repeatedly attacks the everton fans feels a kinship to them. He's been a great servant but he ain't one of us, lets not pretend he is.

Technically then (from your theory about top 4) we aren't a top 6 side. The seasons not over and we finished 7th last season.

The guy obviously does t rate us as a team mate. He's not the first and as a neutral he's not going to have blue tints on or red tints. There's no reason for Ian Wright to have any bias against us. I stand by everything he said being a good analysis other than top players wanting to come here should we have money.

Ah see, what you're doing there is context switching and contriving a different argument (y). Stay focused, the show was about the current season. If we'd dropped out of the top 6, then yep discuss away Mr Wright. You do realise there is a reason for discussing teams outside of the top 6, and that's because generally the teams at the top end of the table get greater press coverage, typically because they're fighting it out for the league or a European spot of some description.

I don't care if he doesn't rate us, it's the way he did it that I don't like. Besides your original argument was:

Everything he said is honest and true.

It isn't

Ian wright didn't make that comment...... He was lead into the conversation by the interviewer.

Yes he did

I have no idea what angle you're coming from. Other tha basing Ian weights interview and comments on the interviewers words. Thanks xxx

think he was coming from an angle of a pissed off Evertonian. Generally when someone puts your club own or disses your club you get a bit pissed off and voice your disapproval

And you've backed up your opinion with facts, and your only bias is your feelings about the club you support. So I don't' have a problem with that

I still don't thin he's a mercenary, but I agree he gets paid a fortune and hasn't brought any silver wear. He has brought us stability, but like you I'm not happy for settling for stability when the moto of the club is Nil Satis Nisi Optimum.

I think he does feel something for the club, but there are times where he has either had an inferiority complex when playing certain clubs, or just gone out totally negative and invited teams to beat us.

Dont know why i even looked at this thread but just out of interest who is the most annoying, biggest dick head between stend, maddison and ian wright?
