As a fellow researcher do I get props for my 'MK 108 30mm caliber autocannon' investigation btw?
Developed from the Solothurn 30 mm. Kanone first front-line tested during the Battle of Britain with Erprobungsgruppe 210. Problems were encountered that were eventually overcome, and it functioned OK later in the war. Further advanced to the 37 mm. Kanone used on Bf 110 G-2 day fighters...

Yeah I cited the Bf 110 in fact...

"as installed on Bf 109, 110, 163, 262. FW 190, Ta 152, 154, He 162, 219, Ho 229, and Ju 388"

They didn't adbance immediately to the 37mm; there was a brief period of a few months were a 34mm was trialled. Although it was deemed to lack sufficient tensile strength; after that came the 37mm.

I'd have thought you'd have known that to be fair.
