Also playing out wide or in a flat midfield 5 probably didn't help

Great players look the part from a young age and Barkley has always looked the part for me, his performance at QPR should have been enough to prove he was something else. I always had a feeling his first season where the manager actually trusted him to play football his way we'd shoot up the league and that seems to be the case this season, it's just a shame he wasn't trusted last season and instead sent to Leeds to sit on the bench and learn from the footballing guru that is Neil Warnock.
