Well...if you judge doing better by how much money one extorts from other clubs for doing absolutely nothing...then Xavier has indeed done better.

Richard Dunne - not this season, but had been doing consistently well for a few seasons prior.

Beattie's done well for himself as well, maybe even worth giving McFadden & Carsley a mention for doing well at Birmingham.

McFadden has been s-hite for Birmingham.

the sad thing about this thread is that for the whole of the 90's and a bit before and after... we just had crap players. whether they played for us or moved on else where.


now... if we started selling some of the current crop it would be a different story.
