Yesterday I had to go to a family gathering with my red brother's in-law (3 of them FFS). They all tried to have a go about the Derby but all I had to say was 'did you watch it?' (I instinctively knew their answer), not one of them had watched the game and two admitted they thought the game was on Wednesday night and heard the score on the radio the next morning.

Ive escaped abuse from every Kopite I know.

Those that ive seen ive simply growled at them and said if they say anything im gonna smack them in the teeth, it worked thankfully.

Is the correct answer. We had a surprise party for my grans 80th birthday 30 years ago, just hours after I had watched us get murdered 0-5 by the darkness. My red supporting uncle just grinned at me all night, didn't have to say a word, but I was happy to take it because I sure love giving it out (on the rare occasions I get the chance).

My post on facebook was during the game and read
"Don't understand why Everton can't perform against the mid-table teams like they do against the top 4."
Then I swerved Facebook until today as I didn't want to do any permanent damage with what I said in retaliation to any of their comments. Turns out I got 7 likes (6 blues and one yank)and no responses. My brother made far too many comments about the game but he's still bent, don't care how many kids he produces, and have never been to a footy game as far as I know therefore has no opinion.

I didn't get any abuse thank god. I drunkenly text my mate but he never text back. He likes to take the moral highground with derbys. It made me fume more so had the desired effect.
