clearly havent watched every everton game then.

hes had a few poor games including united, but on the whole he has looked good, in part due to Jags poor form.

Heitinga is still the better option.

Dustbin is also 33 now, wont be around for much longer.

Ok, in order:

1.) That makes no sense. If your CB partner is playing badly, that makes your job harder, and makes you more likely to concede and make mistakes. Jags hasn't been playing that badly at all, and when he has, Distin's been there to cover his arse.

2.) Heitinga doesn't care for us, unlike Distin, and won't be here next season -- maybe even in Jan. Heitinga would not have made that massive lungbusting run at the end, for example. Distin did. Distin has passion, loves the club, and ultimately gives it his all. And I doubt he'd ever smile with relief at being subbed off. Enough said.

3.) I mentioned this in another thread, but age is just a number. The older you are, the slower you're meant to get, the more injury prone etc. However Distin might just be our fastest player, and his stamina levels are incredible. And he's also got a great track record in terms of no injuries.
