so pretty recently i had made a thread about howard's form, and the general consensus seemed to be that he himself has been struggling a bit, beyond just defensive errors he should be doing better.

well tonight, i went to see the US play Cuba, and i was really hoping howard could keep a clean sheet which would maybe boost his confidence. despite rolling over the cubans 6-1, howard still let a goal in midway through the first half. it was the kind of goal that came from a shot no one was expecting, and i don't think there was much he could do about it, aside from that he was a little bit too far off his line to deal with the chip.

my question though, is seeing as how howard thought today would be an easy day in goal, do you think that once again failing to keep a clean sheet will majorly dent his confidence?

It's quite worrying that we haven't kept a clean sheet though. If you go out to win, you need to base it on getting a clean sheet.

He's a good keeper though, so confidence will come in time.

If our bookie gives us odds on a clean sheet at Arsenal I will be having a punt(y)

Put Nash in. I mean, it's not as if Howard is Iker Casillas or Petr Cech class. He's playing [Poor language removed], you drop him.
