Howard Webb appreciation

Dont you speak to me. EVER. EVER AGAIN.

I'm just noting that I would have given MiklesGoat a lifetime ban if it had been up to me. He's a bad egg.

But the goal was in, I'm pretty sure of that. I think the referee made the right decision, though. He had a split second, and in no way was privy to the technology we had on GERMAN TV. What could he do, the ball bounced out again, and had only marginally cleared the line.

Agreed, if he isnt sure he cant give it, but we would be FUMING if the boot was on the other foot.

Egg, Smegg.

just read an article about neville and how for the lampard goal he was effected by the yellow he picked up.

just a thought , but if hibbert wasnt booked , would he have tackled harder (instead of dropping back to the goal mouth ) to stop the cross for chelsea's first goal ?

also if neville wasnt on a booking would he have closed down lampard harder for there second ?

by the same measure if essien and bosingwa were treated on a equal par to our players would we have had more attempts ?

in hindsight those 2 soft yellows and referee's inconsistancy cost us a better chance of winning the cup imo.

definitely, he played like he was on a leash for the rest of his time. i still think rodwell should have been brought on for him instead of jacobsen, as he was very poor going forward (surprisingly, hibbo didn't look bad going forward yesterday, it was a strange strange thing to see)

the lampard dive and drogba's falling on the floor as if he was shot , limping for 2 minutes then sudden miracle recovery .......shows what a scumbag unsporting team chelsea are.

.

The media are so fickle three weeks ago they were calling for Drogba and ballack to be burned at the stake after their histronics at the end of the barca game.........Today they are a team of model pros.
I know it sound like sour grapes, but if uefa had any balls they'd of banned the pair and neither would have graced the final yesterday.

But UEFA have none - (see euro ban circa 1985)(y)(y)

He was on a leash for the whole of the game after the booking yeah - but even the first 7 minutes he wasn't booked for, he hadn't been playing any differently that after he got booked.

He didn't look on his game at all. I predicted he would struggle v Malouda. He's been awesome second half of the season..
