He's cost us two goals.

You can't say what would have happened in those games or how many points he's lost us. For all we know had he not made the mistake today, then we might have lost. Probably not -- we might have won in fact -- but it's impossible to say. The butterfly effect and all that; go back and change one thing, who knows what else might change?

So you can't predict what might have happened, you just have to state the facts: he's let in two ridiculous goals this season.

Yes mate, but the idea was that these 5 points could've been more had he not made some outstanding saves let's say against Utd, etc, to keep the score as it was.

Exactly so people cant really have a go and say howard out because its a double edged sword he will have howlers all keepers do and he will have amazing games but its how he deals with them thats key

Sure but if the keeper on the bench will make less howlers and more amazing saves then we should play him. One of the reasons we bought Mucha this summer was so if Tim wasn't on form we didn't have to play him.

Suggesting that maybe we could play Mucha, is not showing disloyalty to Howard, it's just suggesting that maybe we should play Mucha.

No but replacing howard with someone untested in the epl who may have more howlers than howard you just dont know

If he wasnt injured he would of played instead of bily and isnt that what moyes has done for nearly all the games so far this season??

Ok, so he has cost us 3-5 points this season. And how many points has he saved us???

Howard will continue to have my support until he starts playing badly, and I just don't see that happening. The only way Mucha is gonna get a look in, is if Howard is injured. Howard is one of the top 3 Prem keepers (not being blue-tinted at all in that), and should not be dropped for making a mistake, then 2 months later making another one. We are all but human. If we applied some of the logic displayed on here to your own lives, you would all have been fired ages ago.

but isnt playing badly.... for a goalkeeper..., IS not catching a ball, letting a shot slip underneath him etc playing badly? I wont get on his back for it but if we didnt have an even worse backup, which we have, he's wont get dropped. so this backing him/drop him is irrelevant no?
