How would Moyes leaving affect your support ?

What would your reaction be if this Lescott saga caused Moyes to quit ?

like we say in America (and mostly in the sport of baseball)

you root for the name on the front of the jersey, not on the back

in this case, it would suck of Moyes left (was at Burnley today), but I'd still be a blue

The only thing that would make me turn my back on the club is if we move to Kirkby. Thats the only thing that would make it not Everton anymore. If Moyes goes, we'll get someone new in and carry on as normal.

I was born in Shrewsbury, I should be a Shrew, but sometime in the 1970s - and I can't remember why - football became something that Everton did, and sod the rest.
The team is a part of who I am. However much I respect and value Moyes' leadership, and would be disheartened by his departure, the team he would leave behind would still be Everton.
Simples.

Surely the heart and soul of the club are the fans closely followed by the ground .
The ground is only bricks and mortar though , and used 19 times per year plus cup runs . The fans are fans for ever .
Kirkby really doesn't bother me too much even if I would prefer to update Goodison .

I dont support David Moyes, I support Everton mate.

No one person is bigger than the club.
Same here matey,i've seen a few managers come and go over 35 years of supporting the club so it wouldnt make a blind bit of difference to me if he ever left.

I am an Everton fan and will support them regardless who is at the helm.

I may not be happy, but I will never quit or change my allegiance.

I'm not denying that. We were terrible at the beginning of last year and we were terrible at the end of the year before.

But we've always recovered from our bad runs. And until results like last saturday become the norm rather than the exceptions, I'll continue to think that Moyes is the man for the job.

We've twice looked like relegation candidates under Moyes, the year before we got fourth and the beginning of the year after. And each time we've recovered and emerged a better team.

I have no desire to ever see us play as badly as we did against arsenal ever again but I do trust that Moyes will sort it the hell out.

Most teams have good & bad runs over the course of a season, but I think some of the exceptions result-wise under Moyes have been quite exceptionally poor, having said that we have also had positive results under him in places where we haven't got a result for decades, so maybe it sort of evens out.

I'd have to disagree with your comment about relegation. I don't consider we've ever looked like relegation candidates under Moyes. Even the season when we finished 17th we were never seriously at risk, we had enough points to be safe with a handful of games left wheras the teams below us were still scrambling & so some had the momentum to pass us as we slid into 17th place.

Players, managers, shareholders, and part time supporters come and go. The club has been around a long time and will be around for a long time yet. Staff changes have not affected my support in the past and I don't imagine it ever will.

When the time comes for David Moyes to go I will celebrate his contribution to our club and wish him well. Then get right behind his replacement.

Id deffo continue to support Everton.

However I would really like Moyes to sell Lescott and re-shape this team on the solid foundations he has created.

As some people have suggested - Evertons Team Spirit and Unity count for so much, and any rotten eggs - whoever they are, however good they are need to be moved on and the cash re-invested in the team.

Moyes could well turn this round and make us stronger. He has done so on many occasions.
