Homepage Article How To Solve A Problem Like Club View?

The author is absolutely spot on and I agree with all his points. The club have completely missold and misrepresented Club View and have as a result scammed supporters. They've lied by omission and have known for a while it wouldn't be as advertised.

It is not at all premium and is a worse experience than much cheaper seats.

The email with a non-apology did not touch on the main issues. It's a poorly designed shambles that is not going to be fixed and leaves a really sour taste on the stadium. Why on earth is there a second (unopened) retail store in there? Who on earth wants or asked for that!?

How so? genuine question

If we could all get served with the food and drink we need without queuing excessively long periods of time, we get our programme and all is as advertised then they deliver on there promise.

I’m not arsed about meeting Joe Parkinson tbh, not sure anyone really would be!

But at present it’s a shambles and needs fixing fast before people start demanding a refund!

In the literal sense the issues can be fixed longer term. In the short term they can't be fixed. They're not going to put in escalators over the international break. They're not going to redesign and extend the entire concourse to fit more bars and space in.

That is on top of the fact the clubs recent communications are not acknowledging the key issues that need rectifying and are putting it mainly down to catering issues and training. They chose not to tell us about the lack of escalators because they knew it would put people off. They chose not to tell us how small the bar would be as it would show clear problems. The club has shown absolutely nothing to indicate the issues will be fixed or that they are in fact issues.

I think it's very disappointing so far. I'll reserve full judgement for a few weeks, keep my powder dry, but then let them have both barrels if there isn't drastic improvement or a refund of more than a tenner.
On Sunday many fans in CV chose to miss the last 10 minutes of the first half just to get a cold drink on a hot day, and try and redeem their £10 credit, having had no chance to do so before KO.
Perhaps GOT could collate and send feedback to the club in a few days once this thread has had its say?

What is the capacity for club view and have they oversold it?

2,161, apparently

My seat there has an excellent view and I got my programme too , but I along with a lot of people are disappointed with the rest. I started to queue and soon lost interest and I didn't want to stay on the concourse it was heaving so went to my seat. Didn't bother going down at HT to spend my tenner as I imagined the queues would be as horrendous and having a Scottish wife I knew she'd be giving me pelters for not spending that later.

We knew there would be teething problems, but I think they'll have to change things in the interim as there doesn't seem to be a quick fix and we've paid extra for a poorer product so far. On a positive note (not for CV members) it appears to be one of the few things that didn't go well on an amazing launch of the new place.

Far too much to be done to bring it upto standard. Needs to be scrapped for this season with a partial refund to members. Relevant Improvements built During close season and try again in 26/27.

They marketed it as only having concessions for over 65’s and when we were buying season tickets the website stated there were ‘escalators in multiple locations throughout the stadium.’ What the website didn’t state was that all but one of those many escalators (central south stand) were in corporate. Tier 3 is the highest concourse in the stadium yet has no escalator access and a lift that is shared with tier 2 and primarily meant for wheelchair users. This is clearly the first sign of cost cutting on design and fit out decisions. The club should have been up front about this in their FAQ’s before people bought their seats but they chose not to be. I’m
pretty fit still so it’s not an issue for me but it is for many others. This is especially so as a lot of people have a much further walk to the ground than they used to have. The £10 food and drink credit and programme is not a freebie. You’ve paid for it as part of the ticket price and the club has failed to deliver it. The attitude of catering staff was basically to shrug. The email from Everton after the game was poor. They should as a minimum have credited all club view holders Everton accounts with a £10 credit. Fixing it this season is not going to be possible and assuming they do something at the end of the season will cost much more than if they’d done the job properly initially.

Nothing stopping all supporters on level 3 entering Club View from there seats, regardless of turnstiles used, this may have added to the excessive queues for food and drink. Maybe.
Possibly and again a sign of poor design / fit out. I’m not sure why anyone would want to though other than curiosity.

I wouldn’t wait if I were you.

Feedback pressure on the experience and the need for improvement needs to be immediate and consistently applied on each visit(if/when applicable).

If you leave it they will just shrug and think the problem has gone away or people are not bothered.

I’m doing the same with my Village St membership which is good on the whole but some things still need to be better.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum should apply on and off the pitch IMHO.
