Player Valuation: £1.5m
I understand that this thread may sound ridiculous but hear me out.

Darren Bent would be a perfect signing for us. If the club had real sense, we could afford him. All we need is £1m. Again, hear me out.

Darren Bent is 25/1 to join Everton at the bookies, stick £1m on it and make it happen. I know that there is a risk that he would turn us down, and we would still have to pay wages, as well as the ethical side of this, but does this not make sense? Or am I losing my head in praying for a striker?

Haha is that legal? Anywhere where does the £18-20m credit come from? As if anyone's lending that much to Everton.

Haha brilliant... Get BK on it and down the bookies

If it turns out to illegal BK may have to do a stretch, therefore not being able to ruin sorry run our club and we'd still have bent!!

only pay the £1m up front and then work it out over contract. I don't think its legal but if Kenwright got a mate to do it and invest it. I dunno, I think I have gone crazy.

I like it im lumping on Bent for Everton!

Wow, never thought I'd discourage a bet being placed with Paddy Power but it's my duty to insist that the suggested bet occurs elsewhere.

Rumour has it that Saggy Face made a packet by backing himself to take the jobs at both Pompey and Spuds after he'd spoken to SSN stating that he was 100% staying put.

I've always thought he would be a real success at Everton, the type of player we have been missing for years. We've allegedly missed out on a few players in the past decade from titbits Moyes has shared because we didn't have the money at the time (Ashley Young, James Milner, Joe Hart), Bent included when he was at Ipswich. Hindsight is a great thing, but imagine if we had gambled on one or two of those. They may not still have been here now, but they would have been tidy investments.
