They should have a Plate competition so every team that qualifies has a real chance of winning something - in this event the teams that finish 3rd and 4th would play each other in a knock out running parallel to the main event - so Group A 3rd plays Group B 4th etc. -

The projected draw would look something like this:

Croatia v Australia
Japan v England
Ecuador v Iran
Portugal v Algeria
Chile v Cameroon
Costa Rica v Greece
Nigeria v Honduras
Russia v Ghana

We might get semis something like Croatia or England v Portugal, Chile v Russia or Ghana.. a decent set of matches.
