How stupid are Manu?

It was United wanted him sign an extension, agent didnt. Or something.

Been watching him in the Euros, and he is superb when hes on it, but seems to switch it on and off. Like he dominates a game for 15 minutes, then you dont notice him, the he does it again.

He has been good these championships but hardl looks like a world record transfer breaker to me.

Reminds me of Patrick Viera a bit.

Jose will do a rooney on him anyway even if his potential justifies his fee (it dosent)
Reckon he'll get found out in the premier league like

Seria a > prem always seems one of the hardest step ups to make because of the speed and intensity

Pogba is a beast and will cope just fine in the premier league. You should watch some highlight videos of him, he's capable of some spectacular bits of skills. If he improves and reaches his potential they'll have one of the best players in the world in a couple years.

Yeah, from what I have seen he wont struggle.

Yerh but its a lot easier to do that kind of thing when youre given time and space on the ball and havent had to compete in a very physical league over 38 games

Osman and pienaar used to split defences if they were given time and space. Now while pogba is obviously streets ahead of those two i'd be very suprised if he dosent look far less skillfull in the prem due to being closed down a lot quicker and having to endure a lot more in the way of crunching tackles

£50m for martial
£100m for pogba

Clubs know how desperate United are at the moment and are screwing them for all the money they can.
What's desperate about signing good players? Isn't that we're trying to do with Mata and Witsel? United spending £100m is relative to Arsenal spending £42m on Ozil, or us spending £30m on Mata, to put in to perspective how rich they are.

Martial is young, therefore 50mil over 5 years is nowt. Instead of buying a 10 mil player every year for 5 years that might not settle, go all out and buy one that is good and will settle and have the years covered.

Looks like the Pogba deal is set to be completed for £100-105m.

Very pleased with our transfer business and how quickly we are getting the deals done. Mourinho said in his press conference he had 4 fundamental signings to make (Ibra, Mkhitaryan, Pogba, Bailly) and then after that he can relax. After that he said he will look to see what areas are left to fix and which players need to leave (and what replacements are needed).

He was 19, His agent was a major reason for him leaving

If I recall correctly, his agent demanded an obscene amount of money for him, which given that he was only 19 at the time and untested was a huge call.

I thought the reason why Pogba left was because he wanted more first team action guaranteed, and Ferguson wouldn't give it to him.
He left because Ferguson told him he wasn't ready for first team football. This was when our midfield was Scholes (came back out of retirment), an ill fletcher, Anderson and Cleverly (I think Gibson as well). We also decided to play a midfield 2 of Rafael and Park Ji Sung instead of playing Pogba

He went to Juventus and became a first team player straight away and they had the likes of Vidal, Marchisio and Pirlo in midfield so obviously ready
