How many… ?


I have visited five of those cities - London, New York, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona. Difficult to pick a favourite out of those cities yet I would rule London out immediately. I visited Barcelona earlier this year and loved walking around the city and viewing the architecture. The only thing I disliked about Barcelona was how vigilant I needed to be with pickpockets lurking on almost every corner it seemed.

I have also passed through Brussels, stopping at a service station but I don't think that qualifies!

I regret London. I was dragged there, like I was regretably dragged into nightclubs by peer pressure in my 20s. Both vile places.

I look with distain on people who travel for personal gratification and bragging rights, unless its on foot or by donkey. If you’re going to inflict damage on the planet by travel, make it absolutely necessary, or rare, for exoloration of the part of the cosmos you inhabit. Not to create a list.

I have been, and it is quite simply the second* worst place I have been. (I was in a touring group to see some of the National Parks and sites in California, Nevada, and Arizona).
* The worst, by a mile, is Malia in Crete - should be totally obliterated from the planet. A complete hole of a place.
