How long do we stick with Jelavic???

People said that before all the other times he's scored this year, tbf.

And I don't think running around a bit makes up for missing chances. Goals win games.

Maybe so, but he's our best striker. People fall out of form - it happens. End of story, really.

Anyway we tried dropping him already a few weeks back, for the WBA, Villa and United games. 1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss. Anichebe scored once, then he got injured.

The team is better with Jelavic in it. You don't become a really crap player overnight, and by that same token, Anichebe doesn't become the answer to our goalscoring problems after 7 years playing for us.

You can't ignore form, forever. That's what leaves us still picking creaking past it like saha, cahill and neville instead of our kids.

Hes not really looking over his shoulder either. Vic had a run but I'm sure when it came down to the crunch Moyes would chose Jelavic our Vic.

It's why Vellios shouldve been brought into the side early this season. It would've kept both Vic and Jela on their toes if a younger fringe player was knocking at the door.

I don't think some of the younger players are arsed with cracking the 1st team though. They know they wont get a snif

Whatever.

Anyway, I see you're from Chesterfield. I grew up near there.

Was at Old Trafford for the semi final. Great day.

I live in Chesterfield and Old Trafford is the one and only game lots of them have ever been to. Shame really but they did all come out of the woodwork then back to the reality of supporting Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and now Man City from there armchairs.

Next season we should have 3 strikers. Jelavic, Victor and a new class signing. That would make us always having one doing well. Vellios isn't the answer... yet. Send him on a season long loan.

I don't think the formation were playing at the mo is playing to his strengths. I think he needs another striker upfront with him to do the running down the channels, so he can be in the box to do what he does best, slot! I'd be inclined to start Anichebe upfront next to him, pulling Fellaini back a bit, and sacrificing Osman's place for Anichebe (sorry Ossie) But then again, i'm not Moysie am I

I think Moyes has considered it but Anichebe's fitness problems have put a spanner in the works.

Remember when Saha was badly gash for absolutely yonks and we all slated him and wanted him out the team and then he was bloody unstoppable and then he got injured?
Strikers dip, if we get him to that unstoppable stage he's much less injury prone than louis.
