The amount of adverts we see these days is unreal, pure brain washing.

Same in my work place at the time. They had something called " pay day Monday's " which was the first Monday after pay day. Straight up to the bar after work, nothing to eat and get legless. Some would drive home and others would sleep in the bar and go to work in the morning. Seems like a different planet now.

We played the 'spare change' game on many a Friday evening. Twas as much Scotch we could buy with the slummy in all our pockets.

You weren't allowed to leave until it was all gone and some people purposely brought extra change to add to the fund. It got stupid sometimes!

Obviously there were the responsible ones who only had about eight shorts before driving the less responsible ones home.

Totally unacceptable now, but at the time it just seemed the absolute norm.

Things have changed since I was little...

You don't see kids climbing trees, playing footie in the street etc..

How has the world changed since you were a lad or girl?

They are too fat/lazy to climb the trees and if they were hoisted up there the branches would break.
