How far will England get then?

Godzilla and Andy Townsend are quite alike really. While Godzilla destroys the cities of Japan with pure rampage, Townsend smashes the myth that ex footballers make the best football commentators with similar rage.

To be honest, if i saw on the news that Godzilla was actually destroying Tokyo. I would have to contemplate if that was worse than the news Andy Townsend will be doing commentary at this years world cup for itv.

As would the Japanese

They'd be running screaming "RUN IT'S GODZILLA, HE'LL KILL US ALL!"

"OH WELL, AT LEAST IT'S NOT ANDY TOWNSEND"

Don't see why they shouldn't get out the group and get to the quarter finals. Uruguay look favourites for the group but Italy aren't anything special this year and we should be beating teams like Costa Rica without much drama. There's less pressure on this year for sure but we should still expect a half decent showing from them considering some of the talent in the squad.

Nah mate, just go for it, all or nothing, good old 4-1-5 formation of the old days. Works on FIFA!

worth a go mate!
think i'd go -

------hart
johnson cahill jags baines
-----gerrard milner
--------barkley
sturridge---rooney--sterling

strurridge playing a bit like how lukaku did for us against arenal and rooney playing how naismith did, hit them on the break

I'd rather have Lampard in there instead of Gerrard but I don't think it will matter as England will have 11 behind the ball most of the time, in that regard Milner is going to play a lot of minutes, and Barkley hardly any.

I think Hodgson will go for something like this,

Hart

Johnson Cahill Jags Baines

Gerrard Henderson/Milner

Lallana Rooney Wilshere/Sterling

Sturridge

In a way his selection has been made easier by most of the English international players playing poorly this season. Hodgson is also wise enough to know that if he doesn't play most of the LFC contingent he'll get slaughtered by the media.

But it doesn't matter who he picks, they wont be good enough to get out the group stage.

they've got enough in their squad to see us off quite easily IMHO.

To be honest, I think we're in much better shape than we were in 2010 when we had Heskey starting up front and David James/Rob Green to choose from in goal. Only problem is we have a doddery old man who doesn't really have a clue about modern day football in charge

England are going to get battered, lucky to get out of the group stages, I'd almost rather we didn't qualify and get the embarrassment out of the way before the summer rather than after it.

I'd say there no better than England, like our squad apart from the odd player there very few who stand out. Probably come down to who gets the better result against Uruguay.

To be fair we've got enough to see them off too.

0-0 it is as both have a tendancy be be crap!

fair enough lads. It's just that when I imagine the likes of De Rossi, Pirlo and Verratti up against gerrard and henderson i get a bit worried.
