I thought it was:

One: Maybe (either/or)
Two: Always, Never (top, bottom)
Three: Maybe, Always, Never (top, middle, bottom)At least how I was taught it like

I was taught Always, Sometimes, Never for the three-button combo (top, middle, bottom)

The Esk is spot on regarding buying/alternating extra trousers and shoes. That was one of the first tips I was ever given after entering the legal world.

As for the query about from whom to buy, all I can say is swerve "A Suit That Fits" - I've spent over a year and nearly £500 with these idiots and they STILL haven't cut my jacket correctly.

You need to click The Esk's link then mate, they do the wigs and everything.

From the horses mouth (Queer Eye for a straight guy)

Don't get carried away with the buttoned-up look. "For a three-button jacket, starting at the top and working down, remember this: sometimes, always, never," Kressley says.

Real surprised at these results. I always thought leaving buttons undone on you jacket was a rarity only visited by 26 year old tanned blokes.

Complete news to me. No wonder everyone treats me like a right loon when I'm wearing a suit.

Also, I've either never seen or never seriously acknowledged a one button suit. That sounds utterly ridiculous.

Weddings and funerals only for me and how many buttons would depend on the weather.

Some borderline pretty boy views expressed by some on here ... as I'd expect on GOT. Well dressed ladz.

How do I wear suits??

With immense style Lids, Immense style.

I believe the correct way is, when you are sitting down you can have it unbuttoned, but when you rise, say to face or address the court, you immediately button and state your plea..Not Guilty M'lud.

A really good fitting suit on a slim person should sit as if it was almost buttoned when standing straight - just my personal preference. Most people button at least the top button and undue when sitting
