How did you become an Evertonian?

Aye. Indeed.

It was via 18 months in Shropshire, Wales, but had never even heard of the place. Being asked to introduce myself on my first day at a new primary school was met with a wall of bewilderment as they struggled to have a clue what I was on about! As you know, that has now turned full circle!
Aah well mate,as the great man said,"once Everton has touched you":)

A GOT in joke mate. When Carlos moved there, that was how he described it. On GOT, Shropshire, Wales, is a real place in his honour.

Long version I was taken to my first game in 94. We played forest and was horrible weather in September. We lost 2-0 , played awful and as a 7 year old I was bored out my head having not gone the game before.

21 years later here I still am. funny that.

Was dating an import back in i think 08 and went to the UK to visit the family for the first time.. lived in a small town outside of Liverpool with half the family being reds and half being blues I had to pick side... quickly picked up most of the reds in the family were [Poor language removed] so it was an easy decision. Didn't get to see a game the first time I went over however I went back in 2010 and went to a Carling Cup game and saw us touch up Huddersfield 5 - 1.

I also saw a league game that trip vs Hull where Timmy Cahill scored just before half time (believe it or not I was in the pisser to beat the crowds... still kicking myself to this day).

Broke up with the then partner after this trip (my week to Oktoberfest may have contributed to this).

Went back over again last year to Germany with the now wide as she is German (Arminia Bielefeld) and took the chance to shoot over to Liverpool and caught the QPR Game (3:1).

Now I base my life (well weekends) around where I will be so I can make sure I have access to the game at stupid o'clock in the morning!!

Have a young blue being born in March next year so hoping to get him over to see the family later in the year and hopefully will get the chance to shoot over for another game again!

This club is sending me broke!!!!

Dad and Uncles used to watch both Us and the Sh..alternative weeks.. They never had much money and to travel to away games was a no no.
My first game was v Inter Milan at Goodison 18th Sept. 1963...0-0.
Went to a few games after that though...
I would say the turning point that i became a proper Evertonian was versus Sunderland F.A.Cup 5th Round at Roker Park. Sneaked out of the house early hours, got nabbed by me mum, marched back home.. sent to my bedroom.
Later jumped out of the said bedroom window onto the lawn below and legged it to get the coach we ( mates) had already booked weeks ago ..... Got a right bollocking off me dad that night when i finally got home ...
But that was the start of my life in my mind as a proper Blue.. Dad did have a wry smile on his face....Thanks Dad..x;)
