I feel for a player like Torres who IS world class and just is in a terrible spot of form right now. I don't know if it was injury that lead to this, or if he's still injured but I've seen that guy do things that just make you say "wow" and he didn't threaten us once today.

He wasn't right at the World Cup and he still isn't right. The commentators today said that he received no service at all and I'd have to agree with them.

Reina couldn't do anything with Cahill's and was shielded for Arteta's so I won't blame him either.

Gerrard really looks disinterested. I think he's trying but it just isn't coming off for him like it usually does. He also doesn't have much around him in terms of personnel.

I'll also say this. They really missed Kuyt today. He always gives us trouble.

I may be in the minority here, but I don't think Reina is world class at all. Every 3 or 4 games he makes a complete howler. His performance against us in 2006 was the worst from a top flight keeper I've ever seen, Almunia, Leighton, Taibi included. He's great for 3 or 4 games, and shocking for the next. I don't think Tim Howard is too far away from him to be honest. Then again, I don't think there are too many world class keepers in the premier league at the moment. Unfortunately, Man City have 2 of them.

Quite simple, Hodgson has disposed of a lot of good players and replaced them with lesser quality, still thinks he is at Fulham. The likes of gerrard realise this and Torres is IMO just way off fully fit but had no service either. Moyes could sort him out.
