Pace, composure, read the game, great positional sense, good tackling and was also up and down for the full 90.

We said for ages we were dying out for someone as good as Baines on the right and if he carries on developing like this I think we've found him.

Just hope no one comes sniffing in the summer because performances like that wont go unnoticed.

This. Can't think of many other right backs in the epl playing better than him.

Funny thing is that he's always been a full back, turned winger, turned back to full back again. He knows how to defend, he just needed to learn how to defend at a high standard so its never been a case of a player learning a new trade.
