Today is the day when we find out if Australia joins the rest of the western world in allowing homosexual marriage. Announcement at 10am AEST.

The right decision and hopefully now the government will ratify this.Whatever your thought's on this are, at the end of the day, people should be allowed live their lives as they wish.

It's 2017 for god's sake.

Just waiting for Northern Ireland's DUP now to see sense amongst pretty much the whole western world.

But hang on they're needed for Brexit and propping up the Tories. Makes you proud

True. Its the right in power at the minute and there are always the far right conservative power brokers against it, led by our former PM and professional cocknugget Abbott.

The left had too many other hot issues to deal with while in power pre 2013 (saying sorry to the aboriginies / GFC / mining boom etc) but it couldnt be ignored this year.
