looking for a holiday, having had to cancel our last one , and have been on teletext holidays, saw a cheapish hol and phoned to enquire, and got told on long haul flights that luggage is not included as its not essential, you have to pay extra, for that and FOOD, cheeky b'stards, im sick and tired of getting ripped off by these clowns.:@ two weeks in the caribbean and you don't need luggage, r food on a 9 hour flight, f##k off thomsons you robbing fecks.<rant over>
 

There's enough capacity being dumped at the moment that you should be able to find something that's reasonable, surely. There's a few coming out every week who seem to be using last-minute holiday websites and getting some great deals. (At least they think they're great.)
 
I went to caribbean last year food and luggage was included in the price, went with first choice and they were excellent.
 
Get a tent! Pack the family in the car and just go for it, most campsites in Europe are ace, dirt cheap for a pitch! Fuck the system - live beyond it!

Oh and Pack some large animal traps, that should sort the food situation out....If you cant get a trap,...then raid the nearest farm.

Man affording Malia this year has been a struggle for me seeings as I blew most of my money in Krakow looking for strippers and cocaine (seriously). Employ me where you work ffs!

23 mate, off to Ibiza in sept now and then Mauritius in Jan.

I live for holidays though, cant beat hot weather, beach and beer.

Also I have my own company, send me your cv I would love to see that.
 
Nothing to do with original post but im off to lanzarote on 18th august with the enemy and the young lad. Just sayin'.

That's awesome mate. Having your own company at 23 is something to be proud of!

And yeah I do too. I spunk any money I get on holidays. I hate the thought of going somewhere on holiday and having to worry about doing certain things because of a budget. Some of my mates are freaking out about Malia coz we are all skint. I like taking enough with me so I don't have to think about stuff. And if I want the odd sucky sucky, it's not a problem. Ibiza is the dream for me mate. Really want to go.

And I actually would if I knew you wern't going to use it as inside information on me. Remember I will always be one step ahead of the hunters.

You got misinformed mate. What they meant was that you had 15kg luggage included in the price and you can pay 5kg for more. I've noticed this happening more and more with the charter flights not only long haul but short haul too. It's a bit of a swiz with banging people for excess luggage in my opinion but there you go. To be honest I swerve the plane food now as it's crap, so I like the option of it not being included. Saves you £15 or something.

Dead right. I've just got back from a late deal I booked for Greece, it was brilliant. The plane was half empty going out and a third empty coming back and it's July. I reckon if you're flexible about what you're after then you can get a good deal.

First Choice were indeed excellent mate, I used them quite a bit. Thomson have took them over now, so it will get worse unfortunately.

no, the stupid cow on the phone was adamant, 5k hand luggage, anything else was extra, and quite nasty at the end, well after i called the company a shower of robbin gits.

They wouldn't sell a charter flight without luggage mate, she misinformed you. You have 15kg as standard, instead of the 20kg that was the usual up until a year ago. She was trying to sell you 5kg of extra luggage allowance. I book a lot of flights through Thomson, Thomas Cook etc.

Where was you thinking of going in the Caribbean lid? Can I come too? x
