Player Valuation: £50m
That is a sickner for Bolton just before the cup semi.

They have been great this season, a real team with good players playing in the correct positions.

In a weird way that might work for them as it is unlikely he will be sold in the summer now. If they can keep Lee Chung Young and Gary Cahill over the summer that will set them up for another good season next season.

The Bolton of 2010/2011 are the Everton of 2006/2007.

Holden's a beast, unlucky with some horror tackles over the past year or so.

Got to admire Fergie's consistancy though, condemning horror tackles on his players then the following week one of his lads dishes out a potential career-finisher.

It was a dumb challenge by a young not very good player. He was probably watching the ball and not Holden. I don't think there was any malice. However you can't bitch if that kind of play happens to you (Carraghers tackle was dirty though it wasn't a 50/50 ball like this one was).

He's been ace though, and when landon retires from international footie he'll be running the show in the middle. Maybe its just me but it seems like playing CM in the prem isn't good for your long term health. That position gets injured more than any other position.

Maybe we should cash in on Fellani given that he's been significantly injured every year.

This injury really hurts US fans. Holden has really shown his quality with Bolton, and should be a regular with US Nats. We need him this summer for Gold Cup, and I would have liked to see him play against Argentina this month as well.

The tackle by Evans was really poor. Studs up through the player is only going to damage careers. What a bum.

Bolton are apparently lined up to come to Houston for one of their preseason matches. They'll probably still come but I don't know if Stu will be able to play or not (some time in July)

This. Total bummer for the USMNT, and for Stu himself.
