He's been stealing a living as England manager flopped in 2012 euros...should have gone right after the last world cup debacle and tonight is unacceptable for the highest paid manager in the tournament.

Have to laugh though at this, only England could do something like this.

If the FA had any sense they would rip up their stale coaching blueprint and copy what Belgium and Germany did in the early 00's,now look at both those countries today.

We are light years behind those countries from grassroots coaching, academies and the national teams.

In all fairness to them, Liverpool fans got onto him years ago.
They were in the bottom 3 when he got sacked in January that season.

He did a good job at Fulham,WBA and Switzerland in USA 94,he seems to work better when there is less expactation and his teams can punch above it's weight, tactically he is inept and Hodgson is a disciple like Howard Wilkinson Graham Taylor of the failed Charles Hughes (FA technical director dinosaur) who's football coaching manual and coaching classes of the early 1970's inspired young coaches in that era and put english football in the dark ages with its bias toward direct long ball football and implementing large taller stronger players being paramount at grassroots over smaller technical players.

Charles Hughes mantra was about getting to the opponants goal with the minimum of passes lol,he actually wrote a book about this philosophy, and England hired a man inspired by him 40 years later in Hodgson and before that another one in Howard Wilkinson when they made him Technical Director.lol
