Its more widely accepted now and to each their own i guess......... However on the flip side and having said that its more widely accepted in society now, it is strange how this STILL makes headline news. I know it shouldn't be news, but I think with every pro that comes out and says this, the climate becomes a little more friendly for existing gay players to come out.

I wonder if any of our players who played with him will come out in support, Everton did start the "Right Behind Gay Footballers" campaign

We're having a world cup in 2022 in a country where homosexuality is illegal. FIFA need to get te fk.

Top respect for the lid coming out. I wish it wasn't a big deal, like, but at this point it still is. Hopefully the atmosphere will continue to become increasingly open and progressive in footy and sports in general.
