Wouldn't reckon they'd dish out that abuse to one of our own players on account of his sexuality though. One or two might, and he'd certainly get stick from opposing fans but I'd like to think the majority would fully support him for it. I would have.

Sad state of affairs though, when a fellas sexuality is breaking news all over the sporting World, shouldn't be like that. Hope no knobheads give him abuse, fair play to the lad.
 
Surprised he retired - seemed to have something to offer last season and I thought he was a much better passer than what we had, along the lines of this year's midfielders. and would have been good backup this year in a footballing midfield.

Wonder if this may be why he retired so early, along with injuries?

He was still good technically last season, was just possibly the most unfit player to ever play football. Don't think he broke into a sprint once and was goosed 10 minutes in.

Think we would support him wouldnt be a culkt hero though, i have seen McFadden getting homophobic insults from some "fans" at home matches which surprised me

tbh i'd hope there would be a bit of humour about it.

eg. chant towards the opposition along the line of - your players are all ugly , hitz dont fancy you(but better obviosuly)
