Highs, Lows and Bakayokos: Everton in the 90's GOT Video

Great video that. Was 6 years old when I started going in 96 and there was no better buzz than walking up to Goodison, even if we were absolutely awful for the most part.

I liked the point about there being more emotional highs/lows during that era. Also feel like there was a feeling that we could get back to where we feel we belong which I think is lacking now.

And just because I'm working on YouTube at the moment thought this would be appropriate:

I actually prefer football back then compared to now... obviously not our team back then ... but everything in general.... the black boots... the decent goalies... mitre delta pro max balls...now football is basically about Nike,Ronaldo and bright yellow boots.

Spoke to Jim again on Sunday night. We went back over the debacle at Watford and the issues currently plaguing the club on the pitch and chatted about any parallels with the 1990s and the present day.

Peter Johnson’s reign as Chairmen was also discussed, as well as the difference between Joe Royle’s management style and that of Ronald Koeman.

With the Merseyside derby on the horizon, Jim explained the dynamics of those encounters in the 1990s and we remembered some of the famous meetings with the reds (that we won) in that era.

Highs, Lows and Bakayokos is available to buy from here - would make a decent Christmas present tbh: https://goo.gl/czvlqL.

If Lukaku was arsed running he'd have gotten on the end of that. Everything has to be put on a plate for him to be bothered. Two half-assed attempts at crosses earlier when in great positions also.
