Can't wait to hear the poem about it by that [Poor language removed] in the pub on Being Liverpool.

Haha - they're at it all over the place - there's an epic case going on in the Royal Courts of Justice at the moment where an American security guy is trying to claim 30% of a Kurdish oil company worth US$2.5 bn.

if they got in financial trouble, they seriously don't have too many sellable assets apart from sterling in their first team. Suppose you could say agger as well. They wouldn't be able to recouperate anywhere near a gain on carroll, downing, henderson, allen or borini. Suarez' value has surely dropped that nobody with the right mind would take him for over £15 mill. How can a team spend £100 million and go backwards

If this gets to court and the legality of the ownership is put into question, will they face embargo's, possible points deductions etc ?

Being Frozen out in the next window would be like an extra Christmas present, or like the Easter Bunny turning up on Boxing Day with the biggest Lindor Egg in the world, and telling you that you will get one every day until the Maypoles are up.

Do they even have a chance of winning? any law heads here

Difficult for anyone to say without being in possession of the facts, however the Judge believes that there is enough evidence to say that denying a trial might be a miscarriage of justice.

I can't see Hicks and Gillette dropping the case, RBS will not settle beforehand, so looks like there should be some washing of dirty underwear in public in early 2013!
