Hibbert - the odd man out?

It's good to see Moyes experiment with Hibbo in different positions (sounds kinky). It's hard to justify keeping him if all he can do is be 2nd/3rd choice RB, but if he can provide cover for LB and even CH then he's be worth keeping. With our constraints it makes sense to keep him - cost us nothing, has a few years left ahead of him, and can give us 10-15 games a season in a variety of positions.
I think that this whole thread (and the other about weak links) suffers from people's assumption about modern day football. Sorry. Its a squad game. You can't expect the same 11 to play every game for the whole season. Therefore you need a strong squad. What people seem to be saying is that they don't see Hibbert playing 24/7 in place of Coleman. Well, that doesn't have to happen.

Distin, Hibbert, Ossie ensure that we have a strong squad with players who know what the manager wants and can come in and do a job. Players like Coleman, Baxter, Mustafi, Duffy etc will prove their worth and will earn their place in time. But they will need to earn it.

Finally, the re-sale value of these players (Ossie etc) won't be more than £2m each, if we are lucky to get that much, so for those who say sell Hibbert, bring in a player in the same position who can take us to the next level, you'll need more coins to buy those type of players.

its a squad game and all that a sqaud entails.

Think Hibbert will stay at Everton for at least 2 yrs., but as a central defender behind Jag, Heitinga and Distin. As a CB he can play on his strenght which is DEFENDING, wouldn't have to going forward as a RB.

Wont he be due a testimonial soon? he must have been there since what? conception?
